The Mahindra Group is a $16.7 billion global corporation that employs more than 200,000 employees, within 18 industries in 100 countries across the world. Mahindra spans over 18 key industries from aerospace to energy to IT. It holds a significant shareof Mitsubishi tractors, Peugeot Scooters, SsangYong and in 2015 secured ownership of Italian design studio, Pininfarina. From humble beginnings producing the Willys Jeep to a global presence, their journey has been more than 70 years in the making.
Mahindra prides itself on forward thinking innovation, and has acquired Pininfarina – the group behind seminal Ferrari’s including the F40 – to design the passenger electric vehicles of the future.
In 2010 Mahindra became the #1 selling tractor brand in the world and continues to hold that position today. In New Zealand they supply a suite of dependable and well-designed tractor solutions for the agricultural sector, as well as dedicated machinery like their iconic Thar and mPACT XTV.
We received the assignment through a well-established New Zealand marketing and design company – Graphic Edge, Inc.
What We Did
It was an honor to work with this well-known global company that is passionate about new, original, and dynamic way of thinking. We were given the freedom to design and suggest bold solutions that were consistent with the established brand identity guide which we had to use as a guidelines and framework.
We started with creating the landing page for the upcoming website. At that time the main goal was to showcase the heavy machinery such as XUV’s and Pik Ups. To achieve memorable impressions we conveyed the idea via bold graphics, showing the bumpy, country surface those machines are mostly used on. The overall look and feel had to be professional and user-friendly to appeal to B2B and B2C customers. To achieve that we kept it simple, with minimal navigation and color contrast.
This project was followed by stationary and print materials design. We had the pleasure of working with great visual materials provided by the client and the freedom to design the layout of the covers and internal pages/specification tables. The client was happy with the professional, yet dynamic look that was created.
Stationary & Print Materials
The print materials we developed (business cards, corporate folder and various brochures) were the next step of the project. We had the pleasure to work with a great picture materials provided from the client and the freedom to design the layout of the covers and internal pages/specification tables.
